Network Engineer, Expert
About The Position
We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our intelligence program in support of a key government customer located in Herndon, Virginia. The Network Engineer shall possess the following capabilities: Adept in network engineering, with focus on design, implementation, and management of complex networks. Experience with network architecture, design, and implementation in a large-scale environment. Proven track record of successfully resolving complex network issues and improving network performance. Knowledge of specific network technologies such as routing and switching. Knowledge of network automation. Knowledge of cloud networking. Knowledge of software-defined networking. Ability to brief designs to review boards. Knowledge of deploying MPLS networks. Ability to learn, understand and implement new technologies. Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Eleven (11) years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- In depth knowledge network architecture, design, and implementation.
- Experience with creating technical documentation such as designs, implementation plans, and technical notes.
- Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
