Job Summary The Systems Engineer role emphasizes technical expertise, customer service, and teamwork. This position requires a professional who can design, implement, and maintain IT systems while building strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with server builds, migrations, and cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence are essential.

Requirements

Proven experience in server builds, migrations, and virtualization.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

Deploy and manage cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure (experience with AWS and Google Cloud is a plus).

Responsibilities

Technical Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and network components.
Build and configure physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Perform server migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
Deploy and manage cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure (experience with AWS and Google Cloud is a plus).
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance reliability and scalability.
Support Microsoft core business applications (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, RDS/Terminal Services).
Implement and maintain remote access solutions (VPN, Citrix, Terminal Services).
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Support disaster recovery strategies, including server imaging and automated offsite backups.
Provide guidance and technical support to junior team members.
Ensure accurate ticket documentation for service issues and projects.
Proven experience in server builds, migrations, and virtualization.
Build and maintain positive, meaningful relationships with clients.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
