About The Position

Peraton requires a Network Engineer to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located at Homestead ARB, FL. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end-user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Requirements

  • Min 12 years with HS Diploma; 10 years with AS/AA; 8 years with BS/BA; or 6 years with MS/MA.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification.
  • CCNA Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN)
  • Triaging malware, LAN, WAN, VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems
  • Providing troubleshooting of enterprise WAN/MAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluating the effect of architectural changes on the network
  • Troubleshooting LAN voice and data networks and evaluate the effect of architectural changes on them
  • Assessing business and applications requirements for corporate data and voice networks
  • Planning, designing, and upgrading network installation projects
  • Establishing and maintaining backup, version-control and malware defense systems
  • Troubleshooting network architectures and recommending system fixes and enhancements
  • Making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission
  • Monitor network performance, proactively making recommendations for improvement and resolving potential problems.
  • Ensure proper tracking, and documentation of all program assets, adhering to government procedures and industry standards.
  • Interface with government personnel and customers to convey project status and ensure smooth coordination and communication.
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.
