About The Position

HD Fowler Company is seeking a full-time Network Engineer to join our Information Systems team at our Corporate Offices in Bellevue, Washington. In this position, you will design, implement, monitor, and manage our organization’s IT network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring high performance, security, and up time. Key responsibilities include configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, managing LAN/WAN/VPN, optimizing network performance, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Local Seattle Metro candidates only.

Requirements

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of LAN/WAN, OSI model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
Hardware/Software: Proficiency with network devices from vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, or HPE Aruba.
Security: Expertise in firewall administration (Cisco ASA), VPNs, and IPS rules.
Scripting: Basic programming skills in Python, Ruby, or Perl for automation.
Education/Certification: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar.

Responsibilities

Network Design & Implementation: Planning, designing, and implementing network configurations, including hardware (switches, routers, hubs) and software.
Maintenance & Security: Proactively monitoring network performance, applying updates, managing security configurations (firewalls, VPN tunnels), and ensuring compliance
Troubleshooting & Support: Investigating system-level issues, resolving network deficiencies, and supporting network migration or upgrades.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed network documentation, including topology diagrams and security protocols.
Cloud & Modernization: Managing on-premises and cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, Cisco Meraki).

Benefits

Salary DOE: $125,000 - $145,000 per year
In-Office Hours primarily Mon – Fri between 7AM-5PM
