About The Position

Sev1Tech is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems. Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Five (5) years of Computerized System experience, to include: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows based operating system.
  • Experience with Marine Corps networks (enterprise and/or tactical)
  • Cisco Software Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN)
  • Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and use of BGP communities
  • Preference to have some carrier (e.g. Verizon) experience
  • High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryption (HAIPE) devices
  • Available to Travel up to 80 days per year or 30% travel both CONUS and OCONUS
  • Flexible 4-days a week on-site
  • Core hours are 0900 – 1500

  • Individual shall be working towards the relevant certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties:
  • Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification:
  • Microsoft role-based certifications
  • Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD)
  • Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
  • Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP)
  • CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Cloud certifications, etc.
