The Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the operations involved in maintaining the enterprise network. This includes designing and implementing network infrastructure for the company and its clients, resolving advanced technical issues, and providing guidance to junior network engineers. The Network Engineer ensures optimal network performance, stability, and reliability across all systems.

Requirements

Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including CISCO, JUNOS, and IOS
Knowledge of networking hardware including CPUs, wiring, and routers.
Familiarity with communication and routing protocols.
Familiarity with network analysis tools including SolarWind.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
Previous work experience as a networking engineer.
Proficiency with coding languages including Python and Perl.
High level problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
Installing and configuring networking hardware for our company and clients.
Creating and implementing network security measure for our clients.
Mentoring junior techs as needed.
Conducting regular network performance tests for company and clients.
Delegating networking maintenance tasks to junior tech staff.
Dealing with escalated network support issues for our clients.
Drawing up network status reports.
Deep Dives on complex issue for clients
Drive Development & Execution Solutions to complex issues
Initiate and lead deep dives on complex issues for clients
Prioritize & select alternative solutions for our clients
Solve our client's problems
Shows interest to understand how complex systems and processes work
Knows the basics of troubleshooting and maintaining basic devices and machines
