About The Position

IS has an immediate need for a Network Engineer located in Roswell/Alpharetta, GA. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage our migration of network infrastructure from Cisco to Palo Alto. This role requires expert-level proficiency in Cisco routing and switching alongside advanced management of Palo Alto Networks security platforms. You will ensure the network is secure, high-performing, and resilient across data centers, offices, and hybrid cloud environments.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a focus on enterprise-level Cisco and Palo Alto infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and Panorama.
• Proficiency in Cisco IOS, NX-OS, and network access control (Cisco ISE).
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, Site-to-Site VPNs, and public cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with network automation using Python, Ansible, or Bash.

Nice To Haves

• Cisco: CCNP (Enterprise/Security) or CCIE.
• Palo Alto: PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) or PCNSA.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Design & Deployment : Facilitate the migration from Cisco to Palo Alto ecosystem.
• Palo Alto Security Management : Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls (PA-Series) and the Panorama management console. This includes managing security policies, threat prevention, URL filtering, SSL decryption, and GlobalProtect VPNs.
• Cisco Network Administration : Oversee the installation and lifecycle management of Cisco routers (ISR/ASR), switches (Catalyst/Nexus), and wireless controllers.
• Advanced Routing & Switching : Optimize performance using protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP , and manage complex switching environments including VLANs, STP, and VXLAN.
• Security & Compliance : Implement Zero Trust architectures, network segmentation, and automated security controls via Cisco ISE and Palo Alto security zones.
• Troubleshooting & Support : Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for high-impact network incidents, performing deep packet analysis (Wireshark) and root cause analysis.
