As an IT Network Engineer at TEKsystems, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of an enterprise engineering team that is responsible for integrating new technologies that align with our business objectives. In this position, you will have the opportunity to engage in project implementation teams, ensuring that projects are executed smoothly according to defined architectures, policies, and standards. You will collaborate with RCP's managed service provider's engineering team to configure and install various network devices and services, including LANs, WANs, WLAN, SDWAN, Firewalls, SWGs, and VPNs. Your role will also involve providing Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues that arise during implementation or as needed by operations teams. You will work within established ITSM procedures to ensure that all changes made to the network infrastructure are communicated, approved, and successful. This includes publishing knowledge base (KB) articles as necessary. Acting as a liaison between vendors and other IT personnel, you will collaborate with fellow IT professionals to develop and implement robust network and security measures. Additionally, you will create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to the network infrastructure, compile build configurations as part of project implementation, and train operations teams to ensure smoother operations. Your responsibilities will also extend to working with digital manufacturing teams and plant engineers to implement and secure operational technology (OT) environments. You will collaborate closely with IT Security and Cyber Security teams to implement Network Access Control (NAC), access control lists (ACLs), firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and intrusion prevention systems. Other duties may be assigned by management as needed.
