About The Position

The Network Engineer position is a remote role focused on providing network support and implementing specialized IT solutions. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining network systems, ensuring effective communication and documentation throughout the process. This role requires a strong background in various networking technologies and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with remote teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10 years of general network support experience.
• Strong experience with F5 APM and firewall administration (Checkpoint and Juniper preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of Cisco ISE, IPSec/IKE, and Load Balancer administration (F5 preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, TCP/IP).
• Strong troubleshooting experience with desktops, servers, networks, and firewalls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with DNS, Unix/Linux/Windows systems.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience using various Network Tools (NAS, NNMi, SevOne).
• Experience troubleshooting VPN client issues (F5 APM, Cisco Firepower preferred).
• Experience using Wireshark packet filters or tcpdumps.

Responsibilities

• Provide network support and troubleshooting for various technologies.
• Implement and support specialized business and technical IT solutions.
• Create and maintain Visio Network diagrams.
• Document processes and user guides extensively.
• Work effectively with remote, matrixed teams and clients.
