The Network Engineer serves as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all aspects of network and systems configuration, administration, and support. This person is responsible for maintaining and securing critical systems to support internal operations and client-facing products and acts as an escalation point for other technicians and engineers.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in LAN/WAN configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring
  • Ability to multitask and handle items related to critical IT operations
  • Architecting and project management skills with some knowledge of PM methodologies
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with others

Responsibilities

  • Cisco ASA/VPN Configuration, Administration, and Support
  • Cisco Catalyst and Nexus L3 Switch Configuration, Administration, and Support
  • Cisco Wireless Controller and Access Point Configuration, Administration, and Support
  • Palo Alto Firewall Configuration, Administration, and Support
  • Cisco Meraki Configuration, Administration, and Support
  • Familiar with AWS cloud network configuration
  • Network Security to and from perimeter, core, distribution, and access layers at all locations
  • Network Segmentation and Access Control at all locations
  • Cisco ISE Configuration, Administration, and Support
  • Cisco ESA (IronPort) Configuration, Administration, and Support
  • Windows Server OS Administration (basic)
  • VMWare Administration (basic)
  • Linux Server Administration (basic)
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address any anomalies
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software across all platforms
  • SAN (EMC and Pure Storage) Administration
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
