Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH! MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This is an on-site position. Join the Navy's Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) program and contribute to the evolution of warfighter readiness. We provide critical engineering and technical expertise for the U.S. Navy's premier Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training capability. Our work involves seamlessly integrating live training with synthetic systems to create highly realistic and complex global training environments. We also drive the development of advanced representations for joint, theater, and national systems, and model new weapons technologies and emerging threats, ensuring our forces are prepared for any challenge.

  • Providing network support to Navy operational and training networks focused specifically on the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN)
  • Ensuring uninterrupted network connectivity to customers and sites by planning and executing the installation of new capabilities, as well as operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting network connectivity and infrastructure on enterprise managed networks including support of multiple network enclaves across classification levels
  • Identifying and analyzing systems requirements, developing and maintaining system applications and security, developing and maintaining network configurations, as well as developing and maintaining a disaster recovery plan
  • Serve as the primary technical authority and SME for all aspects of microwave data link design, implementation, operation, and maintenance
  • Lead the planning, design, and engineering of complex microwave radio networks, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Conduct detailed link budget analysis, path profiling, frequency planning, interference analysis, and capacity planning for new and existing microwave links
  • Up to 25% travel required or as needed
  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of relevant network engineering experience
  • Current baseline and Computing Environment/Operating System (CE/OS) certifications
  • Must have IAT-II certification (ex. CompTia Sec+)
  • Experience with network standards, protocols, security, and/or applications; capabilities and applications of network equipment (ex. hubs, routers, switches, bridges, firewalls, servers, transmission media, and/or related hardware)
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience as a network engineer within a U.S. Government environment, DoD strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other related field
  • Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) environment including help desk, customer communication, trouble ticketing, and issue resolution
  • Familiarity with cloud-based network management platforms for microwave systems
