About The Position

The Senior Network Engineer at Bosch is responsible for supporting network architects in the implementation and maintenance of the company's functional networks, including WAN, LAN, intranets, and extranets. This role involves collaboration with external vendors and internal teams to ensure network reliability and performance, as well as configuring and installing network hardware and software. The position requires a strong background in multi-vendor environments and WAN technologies, with a focus on preparing for next-generation network solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Five years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role involving wireless deployments in multi-vendor environments.
• Experience with WAN technologies and protocols.
• Knowledge of LAN topology, QoS, firewall deployment, and datacenter infrastructure.
• Familiarity with MAN technologies and SmartWan technologies.
• Experience with WAN request for proposal (RFP) processes.
• Proficiency in cabling implementations (Fiber Optic or Copper) and WLAN deployments, implementation, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support network architects with implementation and maintenance of WAN, LAN, intranets, and extranets.
• Collaborate with external vendors to build WAN connections to meet user requirements.
• Communicate with internal LAN, firewall, and datacenter teams to implement network infrastructure.
• Configure and install network hardware and software to ensure proper communication between machines.
• Ensure network reliability using monitoring tools.
• Analyze and track incidents, changes, and problems for day-to-day operations.
• Work in a multi-vendor environment and manage WAN request for proposal (RFP) processes.
• Collaborate with architects to maintain and prepare for next-generation Wide Area Network (SDWAN).
