About The Position

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise and industrial control system (ICS) networks supporting nuclear power plant operations. This role ensures high availability, cybersecurity compliance, and regulatory adherence within a highly controlled and safety-critical environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • US Citizen or Green Card required.
  • 5+ years experience in configuration of network Switches and working with industrial network communication protocols

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated aptitude skills and experience working with industrial network communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, TCP/IP, ProfiBus.
  • Any experience with Triangle Microworks (TMW) software.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the industrial controls or power generation industry.
  • Strong computer skills: experience setting up Windows based applications including Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 7, Windows2012, Windows2016 and Windows2019 and proficiency in standard MS Office applications
  • Experience with virtual computing platforms
  • Technical skills in engineering design and construction practices
  • Proven team player with solid cooperation, flexibility and demonstrated capacity to learn complex information quickly.
  • Field experience in related equipment

Responsibilities

  • Create/Modify Network Topology drawing for Controllers, HMIs, Network equipment using Visio tool.
  • Knowledge on configuration of Network Switches (Cisco), Firewalls (Fortinet), Routers.
  • Understands VMware and Virtual Machine concepts, has worked on thin client configuration solutions (both windows & linux)
  • Knowledge on RDP protocols on windows machines.
  • Design, implement and support communication networks for control system applications
  • Knowledge of various communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, TCP/IP, DNP3, Profibus..etc)
  • Provide system design engineering as required to facilitate the ordering, engineering, installation (construction) design and commissioning of third party control systems and industrial networks
  • Support Engineering Services field personnel in technical resolution of field problems
  • Handle multiple projects / activities
  • Be accountable for on-time schedule performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards
  • Provide assistance with quality assurance on projects
  • Review and interpret customer specifications.
