The Network Engineer's role is to support the stable operation of the Piedmont Healthcare computer network. The person will perform basic installation, configuration and maintenance, and document all network hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal network downtime. The person will also perform the basic diagnosis, resolution and documentation of hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support where required.

  • Support the stable operation of the Piedmont Healthcare computer network.
  • Perform basic installation, configuration and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  • Document all network hardware, software, and communication links.
  • Ensure minimal network downtime.
  • Diagnose, resolve and document hardware and software network problems.
  • Provide end user training and support.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • In lieu of degree, four (4) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement.
  • Two (2) years of work experience including hands-on knowledge of the installation, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco networking equipment is required.
  • If no degree, a total of six (6) years of experience required.
  • Cisco Certified Network Analyst (CCNA) is preferred.
