About The Position

As a Network Services team member, you will gain exposure to a large and complex network topology. We are responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and providing support for the firm's global enterprise network. Our mission is to continually evolve our network infrastructure and invest heavily in advancing our technology. Joining Network Services is the first step in building an engineering career with Susquehanna.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering or a similar technical major.
  • Experience in LAN network support, specifically troubleshooting OSI Layer 1-3 problems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network hardware, local area networks, internet protocols, fiber and copper wiring standards, Ethernet, and wireless technologies.
  • Scripting and DevOps experience (in Python, Ansible, Git) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot issues across the network environment.
  • Find innovative solutions to challenging problems.
  • Contribute in network design discussions.
  • Participate in solution implementations.
  • Help shape the future of network monitoring and configuration management products.
  • Collaborate with team members, technologists, and business teams.
  • Coordinate configuration changes and identify root-cause analysis.
  • Recommend network optimizations.
  • Participate in firm-wide projects including upgrading and implementing new hardware and software.
  • Gain hands-on experience through lab work and team rotations.
