The scope of this Contract requires specialized expertise in areas such as high-performance computing (HPC), automated processing systems, distributed software design, and secure hosting and networking solutions. The IT infrastructure consists of a mix of Linux, Windows, and UNIX. The environment includes a variety of network devices, server interconnections, mass storage solutions, and essential supporting infrastructure services. The services provided under this Contract support areas including HPC, infrastructure maintenance for HPC systems, networking, office automation, and the development of specialized software.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in technical field and Eight years demonstrable experience (or 13 years demonstrable experience without degree) in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection.
  • CCNP certification required.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.
  • Experience with Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC).

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/3 network engineering support for end user and enterprise environments.
  • Deliver system level design, architecture, and enterprise security solution.
  • Configure, install and maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Manage network boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/LAN/MAN infrastructure, and packet capture software.
  • Administer routing/switching protocols, TCP/IP protocol stack, stateful firewalls and L3/L4 access controls.
  • Support local-campus networks, workplace peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents to ensure availability, performance, and security.
  • Document technical processes, maintain system records and provide knowledge transfer.
  • Work with virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers.
