About The Position

As Network Engineer, you will act as the primary engineer for a dedicated set of clients, becoming intimately familiar with their networks and environments. You will be responsible for networking, infrastructure, cloud, and Windows operating systems, providing top-level technical support, performing onsite proactive visits, and leading the resolution of complex issues. You will be a key team member to facilitate new locations coming on board by doing initial environment assessments, project design and implementation along with providing high level support for the environment. Primary duties will include maintenance of servers, computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary.

Requirements

  • BA in computer science, information technology or related field.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in network administration.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation.
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff.
  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable and flexible when necessary.
  • Network security experience.
  • LAN and WAN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in new community due diligence assessments, onboarding, integration, and support.
  • Assist in developing and managing projects and roadmaps to improve technology.
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including MS 365, Google Enterprise Manager, JAMF, Ubiquiti, Meraki.
  • Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
  • Manage and train Tier I and Tier 2 support technicians.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
