About The Position

As a Network Engineer on our team, you'll use your skills in network design and architecture, system interoperability, and virtual routing and forwarding to help support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You'll increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You'll apply your knowledge in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, and system interoperability as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. Your knowledge will come in handy as you help optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting DoD classified and unclassified networks, including routers, switches, and cabling.
  • Knowledge of network transport medium, including fiber, wireless, and copper.
  • Ability to configure and manage Internet Protocol (IP) address space and VLANs.
  • Ability to document and maintain accurate enterprise network architecture diagrams.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in software engineering, or 5+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and commercial best security and engineering practices.
  • Ability to document and maintain accurate enterprise network architecture diagrams in accordance with the customer's change and configuration management processes and the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
  • Possession of excellent technical writing skills.
