About The Position

Key Responsibilities Wireless WAN Integration: Implement and manage 4G/5G/LTE connectivity solutions to ensure robust network performance, primary connectivity, and failover capabilities. Network Engineering: Architect and maintain Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 infrastructures, focusing on high availability and efficient traffic routing. Automation and Scripting: Leverage Python and API integrations to automate routine network tasks, pull data, and improve monitoring efficiency. Infrastructure Support: Configure and troubleshoot enterprise-grade routing, switching, load balancing, and firewall policies. Carrier Coordination: Utilize a deep understanding of carrier-grade networking to optimize performance across cellular interfaces. Collaboration: Translate business requirements into technical network specifications and provide Day 2 support documentation.

Requirements

  • Carrier Environment Experience: Professional background within a Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T (or similar) ecosystem is highly preferred.
  • Cellular Networking: Strong fundamental knowledge of 4G, 5G, and LTE network standards, signaling, and deployment.
  • Core Networking: Proficiency in Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, and Firewall management.
  • Protocol Mastery: Deep understanding of the OSI model, specifically Layers 2, 3, and 4.
  • Programmability: Practical experience with Python scripting and sitting on API calls for network management or data retrieval.

Nice To Haves

  • Supplemental Tech: Experience with Cradlepoint LTE networking and NetCloud Manager is considered a nice to have.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications in routing/switching or wireless technologies.
