About The Position

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculum.
  • In lieu of a Master’s degree a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and an additional two (2) years relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for a total of 12 years.
  • In lieu of a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and addition six (6) years of relevant experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for a total of 16 years.
  • An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level III baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Network Administrators and System Administrators, monitor and maintain the current infrastructure, improve system performance, and automate system administration.
  • Provide input to the design of the organizations network and mission architecture.
  • Conduct Computer Network Defense Operations, plan and install network upgrades, network design, and perform quality assurance and control.
  • Configure and maintain organization's network diagrams and accreditations.
  • Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulations.
  • Oversee the support to all network equipment.
  • Support the integration of the analytic platform into the CND CDC.
  • Resolve complex network problems, operate network analyzers, WAN test equipment and network simulators.
  • Design modules representing traditional circuit switched networks.
  • Lead large efforts and installation projects of dynamic requirements and scale.
  • Develop algorithms for models using networking and/or telecommunications technologies and systems.
