About The Position

The Network Engineer Lead coordinates directly with the Government/Site NETENG and ISSM and serves as contract RMF/Network co-team lead. Responsible for operating/maintaining the MTC LAN/CAN in support of Simulation and Training operations. Participates in meetings and interacts with customers (RA/ARNG/USAR units) automation and/or communications personnel in both formal and informal settings to investigate and develop network links to C4ISR assets in support of customer operations. The Network Engineer Lead is involved in the XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs, which provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training: Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training: Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training: Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations (ULO).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • BS/BA or higher in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software/Computer Engineering, or Mathematics or Engineering.
  • Current SECRET clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • IAT-III baseline certification (CASP+/SecurityX, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP).
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or similar alternate vendor professional certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Windows OS/s: Server 2019/Windows 10.
  • Familiarity with DA/NETCOM Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) process.
  • Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administration and vulnerability scanning.
  • Familiarity with hypervisor and virtual machines, particularly Hyper-V or VMware ESXi/vSphere/vCenter 6.5 or higher.
  • Utilization of SolarWinds network management suite or similar network monitoring solution.
