Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Network Engineer – Journeyman to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina . Responsibilities: As a Network Engineer – Journeyman you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Network Engin e e r or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the C CMD leve l
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with a BS/BA or 3 years’ experience with a MS/MA or 1 years’ experience with a PhD . or 9 years' w/o a degree or 7 years' with AS/AA degree
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
  • US citizenship
  • DoD 8140 role for WRC: 441; Element: IT; Work Role: Network Operations Specialist; Proficiency Level: Intermediate / ability to obtain

Nice To Haves

  • DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs independent network setup, configuration, integration, and verification for complex C2ISR network components at various on-site locations (e.g., MQ-9 Reaper Squadron Operations Centers, RGEPs, RSO SATCOM Gateways).
  • Develops and implements on-site technical solutions to address real-time operational challenges and technological requirements encountered during on-site network deployments.
  • Provides advanced on-site network engineering capabilities, including expert technical insights for rapid response and mission-focused network support across diverse mission environments.
  • Manages rapid, globally deployable support for installations, pre-deployments, deployments, and crew change-out activities for C2ISR network components.
  • Employ Azure Network Watcher to monitor , diagnose, and ensure the reliability of network connectivity within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Executes integration and troubleshooting of network aspects of existing/new ISR data feeds into AISR-DT dissemination systems and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).
  • Conducts on-site network performance assessments and diagnostic tests, identifying root causes of network failures and implementing solutions to ensure proper network functionality.
  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., systems engineers, cybersecurity) to integrate network systems and ensure seamless data flow across diverse domains.
  • Develops and refines documentation for on-site network configuration procedures, checklists, and post-installation verification reports.
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in defining and implementing immediate technical network solutions for cloud-connected and classified on-site systems.
