About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Network Engineer, Journeyman to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and sustain enterprise network infrastructure: routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and related network services. Execute WAN and LAN upgrades to improve throughput, latency, reliability, and interoperability with existing and planned architectures. Monitor network devices, WAN links, VPN services, and security integrations; detect incidents and performance issues and perform troubleshooting and restoration. Manage network circuit lifecycle activities: provisioning, maintenance, testing, and disconnects per enterprise standards. Assess site readiness for hardware deployments by evaluating connectivity, capacity, and environmental constraints. Collaborate with architects and operations teams to support network design, implementation, and sustainment decisions. Document configurations, changes, and technical activities to support governance, audit readiness, and sustained performance. Support configuration management, change/release processes, and evidence collection for accreditation and compliance. #ENOCS Qualifications Qualifications 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS Diploma/equivalent Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance. Candidate must meet ONE of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering; OR Relevant DoD/military training (example: Research & Development Specialist (Intermediate) Playlist); OR Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (example: CompTIA Security+). Required experience and skills: Network engineering, NOC, or systems administration experience supporting enterprise networks. Practical hands‑on experience with routing/switching, firewall/VPN configuration, load balancing, and circuit provisioning. Proficiency with network monitoring/observability tools, vulnerability scanning basics, and ticketing/configuration management systems. Ability to perform network troubleshooting, document root‑cause analysis, and produce operational runbooks and change records. Strong communication and coordination skills for cross‑team engineering and fielding activities. Desired: Prior DoD/ARNG/NETCOM experience supporting multi‑domain (NIPR/SIPR/cloud) networks. Target Salary Range $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Requirements

  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS Diploma/equivalent
