Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Information technology preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working with enterprise network solutions (firewalls, routing, switching, application load balancing, DDI).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and participate in large, complex, and concurrent projects.
  • Experience with BGP, OSPF, and TCP/IP technologies.
  • Experience with Firewalls.
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus platforms.
  • Experience with f5 LTM and GTM platforms.
  • Experience with investigating complex network related issues and bringing them to resolution.
  • Experience with Agile, Kanban boards, and SCRUM methods preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization and with partners / vendors.
  • Experience with Cloud IaaS with MS Azure.
  • Experience with Azure NSGs and MS Firewalls.
  • Experience with Python and Terraform.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Infoblox preferred.
  • Experience with Arista Systems preferred.
  • Experience with VMware NSX and Advanced Load Balancer (Avi) preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in other areas of Information Technology (security, computing, operating systems, application infrastructure and development, etc.).
  • Experience with IaC preferred.
  • Experience with Fortinet Firewalls preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill requests from Firm application and compute teams for network services such as load balancing, DNS/DHCP, and network port assignments.
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades to ensure the reliability of Firm DDI systems, routers, switches, and load balancers.
  • Respond quickly to network issues and outages, determine the root cause of the problem, and restore network functionality.
  • Assist/advise customers with interfacing their systems to network services.
  • Perform on-call duties 4-6 times per year where you'll respond to network outages 24 hours a day for seven consecutive days.
