The Network Engineer IV position involves developing system specifications, architecture designs, integration and test plans, and all relevant documentation. The role requires the development of risk management and mitigation strategies while maintaining compliance with QA standards and ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded. The engineer will review mission-related change requirements, such as Requests for Change (RFCs) and approved Change Requests (CRQs), determining impacts on transport activities across the enterprise and providing technical solutions and cost impacts. The focus will be on requirements analysis, development, and implementation, as well as engineering and implementing solutions for projects based on customer CRQs. The engineer will serve as the technical representative for assigned projects, provide recommendations on newly submitted action items, and coordinate issues with the appropriate owners/organizations. Responsibilities also include eliciting requirements through various methods, writing requirement specifications, managing requirements traceability, supporting network traffic analysis, and evaluating new/emerging network technologies.
