About The Position

Sunayu, LLC has an exciting new opportunity to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC). We are looking for professionals to help us manage and modernize the IT infrastructure that drives world-class language instruction for the DLIFLC’s diverse academic community. The individual in this position will serve as the contract lead Network Engineer IV. Responsibilities include wired and wireless network performance monitoring, network optimization, testing, IT project management, implementation of network security controls, advanced troubleshooting and analyzing all elements of the network infrastructure. Requirements

  • Must have experience working with network infrastructure, preferably with a focus on Extreme Networks products and solutions.
  • Have a strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including but not limited to LAN, WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security.
  • Experience in managing network related projects, including planning, implementation, and documentation, including network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure expansions.
  • Shall possess a combination of experience and skills with the following manufacturers and applications: VMware NSX: Install, Configure, Manage (V6.2) Ruckus Layer 2 Switches / Wireless Controller / Wireless Access Points Palo Alto Networks Firewall knowledge of PA-7050 / PA-3060 / PA-3260 / PA-5450 / WildFire/URL Filtering Brocade MPLS Implementation Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches Cisco Networks switches and routers Aruba Networks Excellent knowledge of Wireless Controllers / Access Points / Airwave / ClearPass Ciena 100G OME 6500 DWDM System Extreme Networks Layer 2/3, MLXE Switches /Extreme IQ / OSPF, BGP, and MPLS SolarWinds, InMon Sentinel, Uptrends
  • Must be able to lift up to 25LBS.
  • Position may require moving files, bending and standing.
  • BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5+ years
  • AA/AS degree with 7+ year’s experience
  • 9+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
  • IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification and applicable CE/OS Certification.
