About The Position

The Network Engineer I provides operational support for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise data and application networks. This role performs well‑defined tasks under established procedures and guidance from senior engineers, supporting network stability, availability, and performance while developing foundational technical skills.

Requirements

  • Performs work that is procedural and task‑oriented in nature
  • Focuses on individual components of network systems rather than end‑to‑end ownership
  • Operates under close to moderate supervision
  • Exercises judgment within clearly defined guidelines and standards
  • Minimum Required: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Required:0-2 years' experience implementing, designing and or troubleshooting data networks
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent entry‑level networking certification
  • CCNA or equivalent foundational networking certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio or similar diagramming tools

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of wired, wireless, and LAN network infrastructure in accordance with documented standards and change management processes
  • Monitor network performance and availability using approved tools and dashboards, documenting incidents, changes, and resolutions
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity issues and escalate non‑routine or complex problems to senior engineers
  • Support senior engineers in coordinating with third‑party service providers to maintain network reliability and stability
  • Assist with operational support of enterprise telephony systems in coordination with senior engineers and service providers
  • Participate in the deployment of network‑specific hardware for branch office locations under supervision and standard configurations
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset records, and configuration information
  • Collaborate with Network Engineering team members, IT associates, and other business units to support daily operations and project activities
