The Network Engineer III leads the implementation and design of hardware and software platforms and solutions, developing designs to address business requirements, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals across technology disciplines. The Network Engineer III typically works on the most complex projects and is expected to design highly optimal systems and processes as a result of broader and deeper experience. The Network Engineer III possesses the advanced ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues independently as well as lead and mentor other team members within the Systems Engineering domain as well as individuals from other disciplines in the delivery of technology. The Network Engineer III provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist on assorted technical systems. The Network Engineer III has the initiative to develop and implement plans to improve systems and processes, demonstrating expertise in a variety of technology concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Lead efforts related to the on-going maintenance, expansion or upgrade of Endeavor Health’s software, platforms, infrastructure and devices.
  • Collaborate with other Systems Engineers and Architects to ensure that modified hardware and software interacts appropriately across infrastructure and platforms.
  • Leverage knowledge across multiple technology domains to execute initiatives.
  • Oversee, plan and review the technical efforts to research, design, plan and maintain new or existing hardware, infrastructure and software platforms.
  • Utilize advanced systems, scripting and developer skills to develop methodologies to implement, integrate, and maintain new and emerging enterprise-wide systems hardware/software technology components.
  • Create, review, and ensure updates are made to the configuration management plan.
  • Monitor and control the performance and status of technology components, and provide technology component support and expert problem resolution.
  • Formulate, define and design solutions’ scope and objectives based on user needs.
  • Oversee and drive collaboration of complex hardware and software technology component analysis.
  • Lead efforts related to the installation of new software releases and system upgrades.
  • Manage, troubleshoot and resolve alerts and tickets of the highest complexity.
  • Lead the development of hardware break/fix resolution while working with associated vendors.
  • Perform on-call rotational duties by providing off hour support.
  • Lead efforts on maintaining operational security through reporting and communication of security breaches.
  • Take part in technical forensic investigation of security events.
  • Keep current on all systems, software and related technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, information systems, engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience in IT Systems, Platform Engineering or Technical Engineering.
  • Functional Knowledge of Enterprise Network including LAN technologies (VLANs, STP, VXLAN), WAN technologies, SDWAN, Routing, Switching, DNS/DHCP management, WIFI, Firewalls, Load Balancing, security, web proxy, network management solutions, compliance, vulnerability management, patch management, restoration, architecture, performance, dark fiber and Ethernet delivery.
