The Opportunity: The Network Engineer II position is responsible for managing and optimizing the daily operations of network systems across multiple sites. This role involves implementing and troubleshooting network solutions, ensuring high availability and performance, and collaborating with engineering and support teams to meet the operational needs of the organization. Day in the Life: Acts as an escalation point of contact for the Network Administration team, providing advanced technical guidance and issue resolution for complex network incidents and service requests. Support the integration and deployment of cloud-based networking solutions on platforms such as AWS and Azure, working closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless connectivity and functionality. Assist in the planning and execution of network expansions, and migrations, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption and alignment with business priorities. Implement and maintain security measures to protect network infrastructure, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Contribute to the development and refinement of network policies and procedures, leveraging industry knowledge and expertise to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in network implementation meetings, including interpreting architecture standards and translating approved designs into deployed configurations. Conduct regular network performance assessments, analyzing metrics and logs to identify trends and potential areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements to support strategic objectives. Assess and interpret network performance data, drawing actionable insights to support continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate and articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and contribute to collaborative problem-solving efforts.
