About The Position

Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a Network Engineer II to join our team based in Tampa, FL. The Sr. Technical Manager is responsible for overall IT network health to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of the project’s terrestrial infrastructure, ensuring systems operate efficiently without, or with minimal, disruption to applications and users. Additionally, the Network Engineer II will perform proactive monitoring preventing downtime. Responsible for the accountability of all Trace-procured/managed Endpoints (devices), Network Interface Cards (NICs), Transmission Media (cables/wireless), Connecting Devices (routers, switches, hubs), Servers, Network Protocols, and Network Software/Operating Systems.

Requirements

  • An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance, or eligibility for a DOD Secret clearance.
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional - Enterprise (CCNP Enterprise).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • ITILV4 Foundation Certificate.

  • Experience deployed and working in the USCENTCOM AOR

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical interface with our prime contractor customers, corporate resources, and vendors on contractual and technical matters.
  • Design, implementation, and execution of large-scale terrestrial networking initiatives for bringing internet services to military installations globally. This includes but is not limited to configuration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, training of subordinate staff (i.e. helpdesk, field support).
  • Providing regular network status reporting, and proactively managing customer expectations, particularly in the face of network exceptions or issues.
  • Prepare cabling and installation of network devices IAW established standards and Government-articulated design, fabrication and installation specifications.
  • Performing detailed deployment planning, developing/executing surge and contingency plans, and developing/executing risk mitigation strategies in complex equipment and service delivery environments where deployment conditions are dynamic and beyond contractor control.
  • Identify, integrate and deliver technical solutions and resolve technical problems that arise during task order execution.
  • Maintaining oversight of program logistics inclusive of CONUS and OCONUS-based service provision, international shipping and customs clearance, and OCONUS personnel deployment and sustainment.
  • Ensuring adherence to government regulatory guidance and corporate procedures in executing the program.
  • Working closely with, and in support of other internal organizations, including finance, contracts/subcontracts, business development, purchasing, and recruiting.
