About The Position

Member Driven Technologies (MDT) is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s enterprise network infrastructure. This role focuses on delivering reliable, secure, and scalable network services using automation tools, standardized processes, and the adoption of modern networking technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in information technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent; CCNP Preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, ASA firewalls) and Cisco Meraki cloud-managed solutions.
  • Familiarity with Database networking including Cisco NDO (Nexus Dashboard Orchestrator) for multi-site and ACI fabric management.
  • Hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies (VeloCloud).
  • Strong knowledge of Fortinet firewall administration and F5 BIG-IP load balancing/application delivery administration.
  • Proficiency with network automation, Ansible experience preferred.
  • Experience in network monitoring and performance analysis with SolarWinds or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking architectures, with GCP experience preferred (AWS/Azure a plus).
  • Expert understanding of networking fundamentals: routing, switching, QoS, VLANs, VPNs, multicast, and Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols.
  • Strong grasp of network security best practices including segmentation, access control, and secure remote connectivity.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control, policy configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Practical knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions, including deployment and administration for secure remote access.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise networking and datacenter operations that include Cisco routers, switches and firewalls plus Cisco ACI Network Fabric.
  • Support and optimize SD-WAN (VeloCloud), Fortinet firewalls, and F5 solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance using tools such as SolarWinds and Cisco NDO/NDI to ensure optimal throughput, reliability, and availability.
  • Develop and maintain network automation processes to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Support cloud networking initiatives ensuring secure and resilient hybrid network designs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including SOPs, topology diagrams, and configuration records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the network infrastructure meets current and future business requirements, including scalability for new lines of business and client services.
  • Implement and uphold network security best practices, including segmentation, access control, and secure remote connectivity.
  • Participate in network disaster recovery planning, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex network issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution support.
  • Evaluate emerging networking and cloud technologies, recommending solutions to improve performance, security, and operational efficiency.

  • $75,000 - $88,000 (Based on Professional Experience)
  • Hybrid work arrangement with 5 days of on-site work per month required.
