The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience with a service provider or network in engineering or design roles.
  • Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).
  • Experience developing networking products, technologies, software and protocols.
  • Experience in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting networks.
  • Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and improve the entire lifecycle of a network including inception, network design, qualification, deployment, operation, and optimization.
  • Integrate network products and designs into Google's intent-based automation systems by extending the network model Application Programming Interfaces (API), writing dynamic configuration generators, and writing corresponding functional and integration tests.
  • Propose and lead implementation of optimizations in the automated design and provisioning pipeline for Google’s global network infrastructure.
  • Partner with internal cloud product development teams to design, prototype, and lead the implementation of products on the global network infrastructure.
  • Partner with Google’s internal application groups and participate in the implementation of new Google Global Network Edge APIs being developed to operate the network infrastructure.
