About The Position

BAE has several openings for Networking Engineers with a focus on Cisco and Network Design! Mid-level is ok for some positions, but Senior is best. High level Poly Clearance is required and we are the Prime! Located in Herndon, Virginia. Job is onsite with flexible hours. We are looking for experienced Network Engineers to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology with containerized solutions and orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery. Requirements

• Minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degrees preferred.
• Experience with TCP/IP transport network design and engineering.
• Knowledge of network routing protocols and advanced virtual networking technologies.
• Experience performing upgrades and routine network operations and maintenance (O&M).
• Ability to identify and implement INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for the network.
• Familiarity with complex configuration management techniques for managing network systems.
• Understanding of network operating and maintenance concepts for troubleshooting LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and VoIP.
• Proficiency in Cisco IOS, including switching, routing, and segment routing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with a variety of network technologies and solution architectures.
• Broad understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in networking.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and network design concepts.
• Virtualization experience (VDI & VMWare) is a plus.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a big plus.
• Knowledge of security best practices and implementing firewalls and perimeter security measures including VPN technologies.
• Experience with continuous integration, test automation, and/or SecDevOps on iterative development projects.
• Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies.
• Cisco Certifications: CCNA or CCNP.
