Support the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud-computing environment. Develop and support network fabric and systems. Develop and implement solutions for network issues, safely executing network changes. Participate in network lifecycle management through network build and/or upgrade projects. May participate in network solution and architecture design process. Participate in operational rotations as either primary or secondary. Provide break-fix support for events and may serve as escalation point for event remediation. Provide root cause analysis as needed. Develop scripts to automate routine tasks for team. May support network vendor software bug fixes. May telecommute. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Network Developer-related occupation.
  • Working in a large cloud provider environment with experience in deploying and managing network infrastructure serving thousands of users
  • Commodity Ethernet hardware, protocol experience with BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS
  • Networking protocols: TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL
  • Internet peering and inter-domain networking
  • Scripting, automation and datacenter design, automation with Python
  • Network security implementation including firewall configuration, access control lists, and secure network architecture design for enterprise environments
  • Network monitoring tools implementation, performance analysis, capacity planning, and troubleshooting using network management systems, SNMP monitoring, and traffic analysis tools for maintaining optimal network performance.
