Network Design Engineer
About The Position
Looking for a Network Design Engineer to support one of our largest Telecommunications clients. This individual will be placed within their Network Design Team and support early-stage project responsibilities. This individual should have a strong understanding of various network protocols and products from the perspective of integrating them into client network. This individual will not be supporting live network or network operations tasks. This individual should have experience meeting with stakeholders, clients, and vendors to understand and document requirements. This individual should also feel comfortable assisting in the creation of Proof-of-Concepts, testing designs within a lab environment, and providing insightful create documentation, and set project
Requirements
- Experience: 8-10yrs
- L2 -L3 Wireline experience.
- EMS experience a plus.
- Prior telecom exp a plus
- Experience supporting network design projects from early stages (Ex: New Designs, integration of new protocols, integration of new vendors/products, etc.)
- Experience intaking requirements from vendors/clients, creating requirement documentation and initial design, answer technical inquires, and act as SME
- Hands on experience within network layers 2-4 and various network protocols or products from the design perspective
- Experience conducting design testing within a lab environment
