Amazon is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. In this role, you will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks. You will assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network, ensuring that we can support several data center locations effectively. As a Network Deploy Technician, you will leverage your experience supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks, as well as your skills in network implementation and troubleshooting. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with regular peer and customer interaction. Your role will involve managing and supporting AWS' vast network infrastructure, establishing and following best practices, and refining operational procedures. Additionally, you will troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including network device configuration and low-level application interaction. You will also address cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords. The role requires physical demands such as regularly lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds and participating in group lifts for heavier items. You will need to work in an environment that operates 24/7, participate in on-call rotation, and provide after-hours support as needed. Some regional travel may be required, and you will need to work safely at heights and from ladders.
