About The Position

The Network Data Engineer position at Wipro involves supporting customers with engineering work related to Cisco hardware, including switches, routers, WAN/LAN, SDWAN, and WLANs. The role requires a combination of technical expertise in network IP routing and subnets, as well as the ability to design custom VLANs and migrate services to IPV6. This position is remote and requires availability to support customers outside of regular working hours as needed for immediate downtimes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience working with voice and data
• Knowledge of Routing/ Switching/ Telco-Transport Layer/ Mobility and ISP environments
• Knowledge of IP and Enterprise Network
• Knowledge and troubleshooting experience with Cisco hardware including, switches, routers, WAN/LAN, SDWAN and WLANs and network
• Good knowledge of Cisco, Meraki devices experience and network knowledge in managing LAN/WAN
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Resourceful, with the ability to work independently
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Prior networking experience in the telecom domain (AT&T, Verizon etc.) for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Support customer with downtime, manage incidents, perform periodic updates on customer devices
• Support escalation needs
