How You Will Make An Impact: Assisting in running Network and fiber cables both inside and outside the MDF/IDF Maintaining a secure work environment, (cleanliness and safety guidelines) Assisting in critical network infrastructure environment maintenance tasks Correctly label racks/IDFs Following existing methods of procedure (MOP) Handling patching requests copper and fiber IDF clean-up hygiene tasks at assigned location(s) Supporting projects requested by manager Testing and troubleshoot basic copper and fiber links Testing and troubleshoot complex multipoint circuits 80 % travel with in the Bay Area What You Will Need To Succeed: High School Diploma or GED equivalent 5-7 years experience with fiber and copper patching Effective time management skills and the ability to work independently Effective written and verbal communication skills Must have reliable/personal transportation Keen attention to detail is required Ability to read and understand maps/diagrams Must be able to lift 60 pounds Able to work on a ladder at 20' high Reliable transportation Preferred: Certifications in technology specific areas, networking, or management preferred Certifications preferred: A+, N+, S+, (CompTIA Certs), MCP OSHA-10 Boom/Scissor lift Growth Potential: Infrastructure Operations Technician L1 (With Training) Lab Network Technician L1 (With Training) Network Deployment Technician L1 (With Training)
