This work includes performing non-QEW duties under the direction of Network Cable Splicer Foreman/woman or Journeyman/woman as part of a Network Cable Splicing crew; maintaining a valid Class A license; safely operating vehicles and equipment associated with daily maintenance and construction; and performing Confined Space Safety Attendant duties.Nature and ScopeEmployees in this classification will become proficient in the safe operation of specialized trucks, tools, and equipment utilized by Network crews; associated SMUD safety policies, Safety Risk Assessments (SRA), and procedures; traffic control; and the use of maps, plans, prints, and electronic devices for identifying and locating SMUD infrastructure.
