About The Position

This position is a Hybrid position. Position will initially work 4 days a week in office during training. Once trained, in office 2-3 days a week. On call rotation, once every 5th week. Under the direction of the IT Infrastructure Supervisor, the Network Architect's role is to engage as the technical lead for the Network Engineer team to ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the information technology network that supports core organizational functions. Works in conjunction with department leadership to develop long-term strategic technology roadmaps and provides technical oversight and leadership in the design, creation, and maintenance of enterprise technology systems, including building, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting. Researches and recommends new technologies to increase the financial and operational strategic goals at NKC Health to include our clinics and hospital. Ensures the Network Engineer team has accurate and current documentation on both existing systems and any new systems/products deployed. Provides Subject Matter Expertise in a broad range of technology deployed throughout the health system. The Network Architect provides technical oversight in all operations supported by the Network Engineer team.

Requirements

  • Seven years' experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise network systems.
  • Seven years' experience managing Cisco routers, switches, and managing Cisco Collaboration and VoIP systems.
  • Six years' experience managing Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, as well as managing and troubleshooting wireless networks.
  • Packet capture analysis and troubleshooting with Wireshark or like products.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
