About the position

The Network Architect position involves providing data networking solutions and oversight for legacy telecommunications services, including broadband internet circuits and cloud networking. The role requires extensive knowledge of data and network monitoring technologies and practices, as well as the ability to manage the lifecycle of data networking services from strategic planning to operations. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence four days a week in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide data networking solutions and oversight for legacy telco services.
• Manage the broadband circuit portfolio using data and network monitoring technologies.
• Assist with the data networking services lifecycle from strategic planning to operations and financials.
• Specify business requirements for current and future wireless mobile and data networking services.
• Perform technology and operational assessments to manage the legacy portfolio and create future roadmaps.
• Respond to and resolve customer and agency escalations.
• Manage general technology incidents and lead them to resolution.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in data and network monitoring technology.
• 4 years of experience in network architecture.
• Experience in incident management.
• Experience deploying and managing broadband circuits and wireless phone solutions.
• Experience in cloud networking.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in a State government/agency.
• ITIL Foundations certification.
