Millennium is seeking a Network Architect to work in Charleston, SC. The Network Architect will design, implement, and support secure MAN/WAN network infrastructures while serving as a technical lead and escalation point. The candidate must have an active Top secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Level Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems (BS, BA, or Associate of Science (AS) shall be from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program.)
  • Minimum of 10 years of network architect experience of WAN network, and concepts of a wide area network, designing LAN/WAN's and network engineering.
  • Advanced experience with Cisco routing and switching (CCNP-level or higher), including ASR and 1900–7600 series routers
  • Strong IP networking skills, including subnetting and routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)
  • Experience with Cisco NGFWs, F5 Load Balancers, DMVPN, VRF, SD-WAN, and Riverbed WAN optimization
  • Proficiency using network monitoring and performance tools (e.g., Cisco Prime, Riverbed SteelCentral, NetScout, Gigamon)
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps enterprise networks and cyberspace environments
  • Familiarity with Navy and Marine Corps systems engineering processes
  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
  • Available to Travel up to 20 days per year

Nice To Haves

  • CCIE certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Gather and clarify customer requirements and translate them into network designs
  • Design, implement, test, and support LAN/WAN and MAN/WAN environments
  • Provide Tier IV escalation support for USMC Enterprise WAN infrastructure
  • Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, including MPLS, latency, and connectivity in secure environments
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend performance improvements
  • Lead network testing, monitoring, tuning, and performance analysis
  • Coordinate with vendors during outages or degraded performance
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
  • Develop documentation, standards, site analyses, and implementation plans
  • Research and recommend new network technologies and tools
  • Provide client consulting, training, and internal technical support
  • Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.
