The USASOC G6 Architecture team is in search of an experienced and innovative Network Architect to support USSOCOM’s network enterprise modernization initiatives. We are seeking a proactive, meticulous, and highly motivated individual capable of facilitating complex design discussions and collaborating with other teams to integrate technology seamlessly. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, designing, and optimizing network solutions to ensure the availability, security, and performance of mission-critical applications. This role requires a robust technical background, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and eager to grow within a dynamic IT modernization environment. This positions will be located at Fort Bragg, NC. Performs Tier-4 network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD which requires an extensive background in networking technology. Provides guidance, task assignment, and management of senior network engineers supporting a complex routing environment with the following routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, & OSPF. Provides operation, maintenance, and administration of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst 9K series switches, Cisco ASR and ISR series routers, Riverbed WAN Acceleration and Optimization, VPN, IPSEC, and MACSEC technologies, cryptographic devices (KG250, KG175, Suite B, PKI and CSfC), Multicast, QoS, and VoIP. Provides expert level analysis and is responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio-frequency, and data communications networks. Plans, designs, evaluates, and makes source selection recommendations, to facilitate upgrades across the network enterprise. Plans network layouts and analyzes network topologies, traffic and capacity requirements, and supports the acquisition of networking hardware and software. Develops CSfC solutions for both wired and wireless classified implementation. Proficiency in routing protocols In depth experience in Cisco SD Access deployment, DNAC, VxLAN Knowledge on Cisco ISE, DNAC TACACS, DNS/DHCP Functioning are important The Network Architect shall comprehensively review existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required. This position shall troubleshoot the enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks and evaluate the impact of architectural changes on the network. The Network Architect shall follow designated network standards for the design, installation, and maintenance of LAN, WAN infrastructures, voice and data network systems, and advanced engineering. Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN).
