About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Network Architect to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Responsibilities Lead enterprise network architecture across classified and unclassified environments; design resilient, secure, and scalable DoDIN services for NGB, ARNG, State JFHQs, and USAR support. Develop end‑to‑end architectures for WAN, ICAN, data center, virtualized hosting, VoIP topologies, Army 365 services, and cloud on‑ramps (cARMY‑Azure) across DEV/TEST/Stage/Production/COOP. Produce technical architecture plans, DoDAF‑aligned connectivity diagrams, site‑specific bills of materials, ROMs/COAs, and cost estimates to support implementation, modernization, and expansion. Define standards, design patterns, and configurations for routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, DNS, web proxy, identity services, and multi‑environment integrations to meet DoD/Army/ARNG technical requirements. Ensure designs satisfy STIG/IAVM compliance, RMF/ATO objectives, COOP/DR requirements, and CCRI readiness criteria; incorporate security and operational constraints into architecture decisions. Evaluate emerging technologies and devices; recommend upgrades to address capacity, performance, interoperability, and cybersecurity needs. Collaborate with RCC‑ARNG, NETCOM, ARCYBER, SOC, CIRT, EA, and managed‑service stakeholders to align architectures with operational realities and sustainment models. Guide change and release management from an architectural perspective: produce transition diagrams, deployment runbooks, engineering artifacts, and lifecycle sustainment plans. Provide decision‑grade briefings and governance support for architecture review boards and portfolio modernization planning. #ENOCS Qualifications Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance. Required experience and skills: Network architecture, engineering, or systems integration experience with at least 3 years in senior enterprise network architecture roles. Expert knowledge of routing/switching, WAN/SD‑WAN design, ICAN/infrastructure integrations, datacenter virtualization, VoIP topologies, DNS/proxy, and identity integration. Demonstrated experience designing secure cloud integrations (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) and hybrid hosting models with consideration for RMF/ATO impacts and STIG application. Proven ability to produce DoDAF artifacts, technical roadmaps, BOMs, ROMs/COAs, and decision‑grade briefings for senior leadership. Strong skills in automation/orchestration, network provisioning APIs, capacity planning, and performance/security tuning across multi‑domain environments. Desired: Prior DoD/ARNG/NETCOM enterprise network modernization experience and familiarity with Army Unified Network objectives. Experience with Exadata/engineered systems integration, SD‑WAN, network orchestration, and cost/licensing optimization strategies. Demonstrated ability to mentor engineering teams, lead architecture governance, and drive enterprise‑scale deployments and sustainment. #ENOCS Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
