Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH! MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network and Computer Systems Administrator to join our team in Belcamp, MD. This is an onsite position. The Network and Computer Systems Administrator will work in support of the Army for the Network Modernization & Mission Network Technical Service Support program (NetMod). NetMod sets forth the work efforts required to provide product technical support services for systems and equipment being produced, fielded, modified or supported by PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network of the Project Manager (PM) Tactical Network (TN) of the Program Executive Office for Command Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T). This support may also include future systems and equipment that is acquired for the Army to maintain its technological advantage.

  • Manage the servers, including installing and upgrading the servers and solving any problems with the systems.
  • Provide essential software support for laptops, desktop personal computers, and printers, including hardware configuration, testing new software, and designing the network structure.
  • Monitor the system configuration, including the server event log.
  • Test operating system software, networking software, and computer hardware.
  • Monitor and develop procedures for backups of the servers.
  • Support network security by managing user permissions and implementing protective measures against cyber threats.
  • Bachelor of Science degree and 10+ years of relevant experience as a Network or Computer Systems Administrator.
  • 5+ years in the Department of Defense supporting network administration or related duties.
  • Familiarity with network hardware like routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or system administration of Unix or Windows networks/systems.
  • Experience monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks on network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and hardware failures.
  • Experience performing regular data backups and ensuring the ability to recover critical systems in case of emergencies.
  • Experience assessing network needs and planning for future infrastructure upgrades.
  • Expertise in network management tools, security software, and configuration management systems.
