To learn more about the surrounding area, please visit: www.visitstmarysmd.com A typical day as a Network and Computer Systems Administrator (JSE)-Journeyman may include: Installs, configures and maintains an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems and physical/virtual servers Performs system monitoring Verifies the integrity/availability of hardware, network and server resources/systems Reviews system and application logs Verifies completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups Analyzes network and server resource consumption and controls user access Installs/Upgrades software and maintains software licenses Assists in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, planning and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software

Requirements

  • BS Degree OR AS Degree with 2 years of additional work experience (5 years total) OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with 4 years of additional work experience (7 years total) OR Relevant Technical Certification with 4 years of additional work experience (7 years total) OR meets CSWF training requirements OR meets the CSWF certification requirements (CSWF Qualifications: https://www.cool.osd.mil/usn/cswf/matrix.html?moc=cswf_sa_451)
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) OR Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) OR Security CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP+) OR Federal IT Security Professional-Operator-NG (FITSP-O) OR GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT) OR GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) certification OR RHEL certification
  • Experience with RHEL
  • Experience with Windows 11 and Windows Server (current versions)
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD), DHCP and DNS
  • Experience with Networking
  • Experience with Virtual environments
  • Experience with STIGs
  • The ability to maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance-Top Secret Clearance required to start

  • Experience with AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with PDQ Deploy
