Fayetteville Technical Community College is recruiting for a new member to join our Information Technology Services Team and now accepting applications for a full-time Network Analyst I! The Network Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the College network and infrastructure systems, ensuring reliable connectivity for all users. This role is also responsible for proactive monitoring of on-premise and cloud-based College servers and backups and assists with maintaining secure and efficient network environments across all College sites. This position's responsibilities require independent analysis, communication, and problem solving. Duties are performed with little supervision and require initiative and judgment.

  • Install, configure, operate, patch, upgrade and administer Microsoft, Linux, and virtual hypervisors.
  • Monitor network performance and identify potential issues to ensure optimal operation of all College networking and infrastructure systems.
  • Perform basic systems security for all College server systems, including system backups, backup testing and recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic network connectivity problems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Network Administrator and Network Analyst II staff on network infrastructure projects and upgrades.
  • Work closely with the other ITS team members and departments to support the technology initiatives and projects of the College.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and contribute to team goals, including workshops, conferences, and meetings to support the mission of the division and department.
  • Occasionally required to perform general maintenance activities and/or respond to emergencies outside of the scope of a 'normal' working day.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with end-users, providing timely updates on issue resolution, and ensuring a positive user experience.
  • Maintain currency in emerging technologies and best practices in network management.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • An Associate degree from an accredited college in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Network Technology; or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of experience in maintaining medium to large-sized local or campus area networks.
  • Demonstrated experience with telephony systems.
  • CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+ are a plus.
