About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Network Administrator Supervisor, the Network Administrator oversees the daily administration of all network/server environments, troubleshooting of the network, hardware, and underlying communication.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Associate's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related field required. Work experience may substitute education with 2 yrs. of experience substituting every 1 yr. of education.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Excel.
Valid Texas Driver's License.
Have a record of tuberculosis screening showing the employee is free of contagious TB

Nice To Haves

0-2 years of relevant experience preferred
Network Administrator certification is highly preferred
Industry certifications and memberships are a plus
Knowledge of hardware technology and network concepts,
Preference given to candidates with the following: CASP, CEH, CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, Sec+, Net+, A+, Cloud+, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCDA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MTA.

Responsibilities

Maintain network stability for assigned facility.
Monitor and assess network performance to ensure optimal function and minimum downtime.
Perform diagnosis of issues and assist with deployment of solutions.
Monitor and analyze load including traffic and utilization trends.
Ensure networks are protected from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data by developing and monitoring security procedures or collaborating with network administrator supervisor.
Administer, enforce, and support network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, antivirus, email security, etc. for network devices such as laptops, printers, cell phones, tablets, TVs, and landline desk phones.
Provide training to new employees and other training sessions as required.
Provide standard Help Desk support, including but not limited to printer troubleshooting, iPhone support, laptop setup, and troubleshooting.
Provide IT support onsite and remotely to include after hours which may include weekends and holidays.
Manage daily operations of the IT department.
Responsible for tracking the parts inventory and maintenance of documentation.
Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
Other duties may be assigned.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Networking protocols, LAN networking, and WAN networking.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Fill multiple roles simultaneously.
