Leidos is looking for a Network Engineer/Administrator Tier 4 to support all aspects of network operations activities and projects for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program supporting the USCENTCOM J6 in Tampa, FL. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software maintenance, implementation techniques. Conducts testing of network systems. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, servers, PCs, printers etc. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives. Contributes to completion of specific programs tasks, and projects. Works under very general direction. Independently determines and develops approach for complex problem solving. Work is/may be reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Frequent inter-organizational and outside contacts. Represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Participate in briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.

  • Oversee daily monitoring and maintenance of network performance.
  • Implement and enforce network security measures.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, topologies, and procedures.
  • Prepare and present reports on network performance, incidents, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network technicians.
  • Lead or support network-related projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus in communication or a related field of study.
  • 5 years related technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and techniques.
  • 5+ years' experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment.
  • Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Cisco Certified CCNA, CCNP, CCDP (or equivalent).
  • Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with USCENTCOM's IT environment.
  • Troubleshooting Cisco ACI-based networks.
  • Manage and support the Cisco ISE solution across the organization.
