About The Position

Greenfield Savings Bank is seeking a full-time Network Administrator to support and enhance the Bank’s on‑premises and cloud-based infrastructure. This role places a strong emphasis on security, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Core duties include managing WAN/LAN environments, firewalls, cloud networking, monitoring tools, and collaborating with Systems Administrators on cross-functional infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field, or 3–5 years of equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and LAN/WAN technologies
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and Azure
  • 2+ years of experience with Sophos, and/or Ubiquiti technologies
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VDI)
  • Familiarity with SIEM, network monitoring, or observability tools
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Ability to stay current with IT and cybersecurity trends
  • Ability to occasionally move or lift equipment up to 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications in networking or security (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Security+).
  • Experience working in a financial institution or other regulated environment.
  • Experience implementing or supporting banking applications and systems.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with endpoint management (e.g., Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, configure, and operate network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems
  • Manage on‑premises and cloud networking components (e.g., Azure VNets, NSGs, VPN gateways, hybrid connectivity)
  • Ensure proper configuration, patching, and lifecycle management of network devices and systems in alignment with Bank standards
  • Implement and manage security technologies such as IPS/IDS, endpoint protection, anti-malware/anti-spam, and secure Wi-Fi
  • Support Zero Trust principles, network segmentation, MFA, and identity-based access controls
  • Monitor and respond to alerts from SIEM, network monitoring, and security tools
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with FFIEC, GLBA, and other regulatory requirements
  • Support virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VDI solutions) and cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure)
  • Coordinate with Systems Administrators on storage, server, and vulnerability-related tasks, providing network-level insight and troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot network and system issues; document findings and resolutions using the Bank’s ticketing and knowledgebase systems
  • Provide Tier 2 support to Helpdesk staff for escalated hardware and software configuration issues
  • Participate in data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and testing
  • Create and maintain documentation including procedures, network diagrams, change control records, and project plans
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of policies related to LAN/WAN operations, security, and acceptable use
  • Participate in vendor evaluations, technology assessments, and solution design discussions
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support infrastructure initiatives
  • Travel to branch locations as needed
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support
  • Perform other duties as assigned
